wilmington-03 CIGNA Wilmington, DE
GDS designed the interior of a 3 story building totaling 85,000 square feet to house a division’s headquarters for a corporation. GDS redesigned the entry lobby Atrium by adding a custom center fountain, a new beautiful and functional reception desk with security turnstiles, and custom curved wood and glass partitions to define the large space. GDS diligently worked with the client in order to achieve the space plans for each floor maximizing and utilizing spaces circulation efficiently, still allowing for an esthetically pleasing space. The calming color palate is light and refreshing. GDS used natural maple wood with furnishings in wheat and sage tones throughout with punches of excitement such as whimsical light fixtures, geometric designs and soft curves in the flooring patterns. The design also included furnishing and installing a generator to run and operate the facility if total power is lost in the area. GDS also designed the fully staffed kitchen as well as a fitness center.

richmond-03 CIGNA Richmond, VA
This space is the newly designed Sales office for the client’s downtown Richmond location. The entire 15,000 square feet floor plate was vacant. GDS worked directly with the head of Sales Division for the Corporation in designing the client’s needs. Incorporating the project program specifications into the triangular shaped floor plate created a well balanced nearly symmetrical floor plan, allowing to leave spacious areas for clients and employees to enjoy. The large corner boardroom sits in the predominant corner location with impressive wrap around windows. GDS used warm earth tones for the color scheme, natural maple woods with neutral tans and terracotta accents.

GDS designed a new retail office for this financial brokerage firm who caters to their clientele with a conference centers for entertaining and meetings with their analysts. GDS was able to incorporate the new standard office square footage requirement initiated by the firm that reduces their overall square footage requirement by 30% based. The reception area grabs your attention with the stainless steel portal and full height glass doors leading into the refined reception area. Sophisticated simplicity abounds from the rich tiger stripped mahogany wood and textured wallcovering. The reception area has a custom millwork wall unit that conceals a client service refreshment area. The high end decorative patterned

GDS designed a full service cafeteria with an adjacent cafe seating area and a fitness room for a corporation in Hooksett New Hampshire. The full service cafeteria’s appearance is warm and inviting. GDS’ use of rustic natural relief stone on accent walls with playful colors are continued throughout. The use of wood laminate floors and green ceiling identify the cafeteria accented with suspended floating ceilings with accent lighting. This space was designed for large quantities of people to pass through, so circulation and function was a key element in designing these areas.
